Why? Books last forever. There are infinitesimal books to read that aren't of the views of a singular author. That being said it doesn't hurt to read the book if you are still willing to read it.
It depends on what I disliked. Some authors can be quite one sided & like to use a lot of swearing to get their point across. Authors tend to follow a pattern so those are the ones I nix & never look back on.
