It's like the Georgian war all over again. Russia needs a new peaceful president but alas Putin is too in control, he made the law that allows him to remain President until 2036. Democracy is dead in Russia as long as he lives.

Hopefully, most people in Ukraine can escape to a safer country, or nearby towns which are safer from the invasion.

Have I seen some news saying they have been moving to Poland? There's the media for ya.
As long as the government remains corrupt, especially the one where the citizens have no control, like say voting, there will be eternal discontent.
They could have left before the ban was instated, or left illegally. They enacted Martial Law there, so every able bodied man is supposed to join the fight against Russia.
Must've been the women and children then.
I would doubt they'll target any nation with Nato membership as then everybody will have to defend Poland, no ifs, no buts.
They still said citizens couldn’t leave, so they either illegally snuck out, or they left before the ban was enstated.

The EU, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States have just released a co-ordinated statement condemning the Russian invasion.
"As Russian forces unleash their assault on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, we are resolved to continue imposing costs on Russia that will further isolate Russia from the international financial system and our economies," they say.
Measures to be implemented in the coming days include removing "selected Russian banks from the Swift messaging system".
"This will ensure that these banks are disconnected from the international financial system and harm their ability to operate globally."
Swift is the global financial artery that allows the smooth and rapid transfer of money across borders.

I think Russia is going to be very poor after this attack than they already were because the rich still have their power and also money for the military. Twitter trended on saying FOX News in US military bases there are playing Russian propaganda and all the civilians on Twitter are complaining to snuff them from being able to hear it. I hope the Russians don't agree with it.
