What is the main purpose for reading?

Do you read for the fun of it?

Are you reading to learn something?

Do you read because it's an assignment for school or any other kind of forced reading?

It's a good way to end a day if reading provides stress relief for you. Being lost in the book's world. Or for me, I like learning so many of the books I read are about how to gain more health. It helps me feel like I have more control.

That first part........that is why I read. It's a stress reliever. It allows me to escape to another work and forget about the stress of the day for a little while.
